Add, subtract, alter as needed. The key will be to stick to the plan daily. Prep your Plan with real images and videos: If you have not already done so, be sure to take as many pictures and videos as you can at your events.  These pictures and videos are going to be the main source of your content.  While stock photography and videos are a great way to get started, real pictures and video of your photo booth, and events will be perceived as more genuine than stock images and videos. Day 1: Review your social media goals and target audience. It’s important to take a step back and review your overall goals for your social media presence. This might include increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic, or generating leads and sales. It’s also important to consider your target audience and what types of content and messaging will be most effective in reaching and engaging them. This might involve analyzing data on your current social media followers, as well as researching your target audience to understand their interests, preferences, and behaviors. Once you have a clear understanding of your goals and target audience, you can start to develop a plan for creating and sharing content that aligns with these objectives. This might include brainstorming ideas for blog posts, social media posts, and other types of content that will be most effective in reaching and engaging your audience. Day 2: Develop a content calendar for the month, including planned posts and themes. Developing a content calendar for the month ahead is key. A content calendar is a planning tool that helps you organize and schedule your content in advance, ensuring that you have a consistent stream of engaging and relevant content to share with your followers. To create your content calendar, start by considering the types of content that you want to share, such as blog posts, social media posts, videos, photos, or articles. You might also want to consider any themes or topics that you want to focus on for the month, as well as any promotions or campaigns that you want to run. Once you have a list of the types of content you want to create, start planning out when you will publish each piece of content. Consider the best days and times to post based on your audience’s behavior, as well as any other scheduling considerations, such as holidays or events. As you develop your content calendar, be sure to leave some flexibility for last-minute updates or changes, as well as for responding to any current events or trends that may arise during the month. Day 3: Set up any necessary social media automation or scheduling tools. You don’t have to use any tools if you don’t want to but they can definitely save you some time. If you do, set up any necessary tools or automation to help you manage your social media presence more efficiently. There are a variety of scheduling tools available that can help you schedule and publish your social media content in advance, saving you time and effort daily. There are tons of tools out there, find one that you like and take advantage of automating your posting. Some examples of scheduling tools include: Hootsuite: Allows you to schedule and publish content to multiple social media platforms, as well as track and analyze your social media performance. Buffer: Allows you to schedule and publish content to multiple social media platforms, as well as track and analyze your social media performance. Later: Allows you to schedule and publish content to Instagram, as well as plan and preview your Instagram feed. Planoly: Allows you to schedule and publish content to Instagram, as well as plan and preview your Instagram feed. Before choosing a scheduling tool, consider your specific needs and budget, as well as any features that are important to you, such as the ability to publish to multiple platforms or track analytics. Once you have chosen a scheduling tool, take some time to set it up and become familiar with its features. You may want to schedule some of your content for the week or month ahead to get a head start on your social media management. Day 4: Plan out any promotions or campaigns for the month. Promotions and campaigns can be a great way to engage your followers, drive website traffic, and generate leads and sales.  While not always necessary, promotions can help gain additional traction on social media and help fill in the calendar where you have holes. Some examples of promotions and campaigns that you might consider include: Contests: Run a contest on social media where followers can enter to win a prize by liking, commenting, or sharing a post. Giveaways: Offer a free product or service to a randomly selected follower who likes, comments, or shares a post. Coupon codes: Share a unique coupon code on social media that followers can use to receive a discount on your products or services. Special deals: Offer a limited-time deal or sale to your followers on social media. User-generated content: Encourage followers to share photos or videos of themselves using your products or services and feature the best submissions on your social media channels. When planning a promotion or campaign, be sure to consider your goals, target audience, and budget, as well as any legal or regulatory requirements that may apply. You should also develop a plan for promoting and managing the promotion or campaign, including details such as the duration, eligibility, and terms and conditions. Day 5: Post a behind-the-scenes photo or video of your photo booth setup Some ideas include: Setting up and or breaking down before or after the event. Timelapse videos can be fun and engaging. They also are quicker videos that give the viewer and idea of the process in a short period of time. Packing the vehicle Prepping a photo strip or overlay design Day 6: Share a customer testimonial or review. Customer testimonials are a great way to show potential clients how pleased your past clients were.  Video testimonials are even more powerful than written reviews as it attaches a real face and voice to the testimonial. Day 7: Post a photo or video of your photo booth in action at an event. This type of content can be a great way to showcase your photo booth and give your followers a sense of what it is like to use your service. To create this type of content, you might follow these steps: Choose a recent event: Select a recent event where you provided your photo booth services and have some good photos or videos to share. Edit and select your photos or videos: Go through the photos and videos from the event and choose the ones that best showcase your photo booth and the atmosphere of the event. You might want to edit or enhance your photos or videos to improve their quality or highlight certain aspects. Write a caption: Write a caption for your post that describes the event and your photo booth and includes any relevant hashtags or mentions. Publish and promote: Once you have your photo or video and caption ready, publish them on your social media channels, and consider promoting the post through paid advertising or other means to reach a wider audience. By sharing photos and videos of your photo booth in action, you can give your followers a better sense of what it is like to use your service and encourage them to book a photo booth for their own events. Day 8: Share a fun fact about photo booths or the history of the industry. This type of content can be a lighthearted and engaging way to provide value to your followers and show off your knowledge about your business. To create this type of content, you might follow these steps: Research fun facts or interesting tidbits about photo booths or the history of the industry: Look for interesting or unusual facts that your followers might not know, and that would be fun or informative to share. You might consider researching the history of photo booths, notable or unusual uses of photo booths, or current trends in the industry. Write a caption: Write a caption for your post that introduces the fun fact and provides a brief explanation or context. Keep your caption concise and engaging and consider including relevant hashtags or mentions. Choose an accompanying image: Choose an image to go along with your fun fact. This could be a photo of a historical photo booth, a graphic or illustration related to the fun fact, or a photo of your own photo booth. Publish and promote: Once you have your fun fact, caption, and image ready, publish them on your social media channels, and consider promoting the post through paid advertising or other means to reach a wider audience. By sharing fun facts about photo booths or the history of the industry, you can engage your followers and show off your knowledge about your business, while also providing value and entertainment. Day 9: Share a blog post or article about event planning or using a photo booth.By creating and publishing high-quality blog posts or articles about event planning or using a photo booth, you can provide valuable information to your followers, position yourself as a thought leader in your industry, and drive website traffic and lead generation. To create this type of content, you might follow these steps: Choose a topic: Consider your goals, target audience, and the types of content that have performed well in the past. You might also consider any current events or trends in the event planning or photo booth industry that you could address in your content. Research and gather information: Conduct research on your chosen topic to gather information and ideas for your content. You might look for data, statistics, expert opinions, or real-life examples to include in your post. Write your post: Create a blog post or article that provides valuable information, insights and tips about event planning or using a photo booth for example: How to choose the right photo booth for your event, how to make the most out of your photo booth experience, how to make your photo booth pictures stand out among others. Optimize and format your post: Once you have your post ready, optimize it for search engines by including relevant keywords, and format it to make it easy to read and visually appealing. Publish and promote: Once your post is finalized, publish it on your blog or website, and then share it on your social media channels and any other relevant platforms. You might also consider promoting your content through email marketing or paid advertising. Day 10: Take a break and review and analyze the results of your social media efforts from the previous week. Day 11: Share a photo of a custom photo booth backdrop or prop. By sharing a custom photo booth backdrop or prop, you can give your followers a sense of the different customization options that you offer and inspire them to book your photo booth service for their own event. I’m curious… how many DJs here have ordered gear and then had to wait weeks or months for it to actually ship? One thing we decided early on with Max Design was that we didn’t want our customers to deal with that. We manufacture everything in-house. We don’t outsource builds or rely on third-party production. Because of that, we’re able to keep a full inventory of every DJ table and photobooth we make.   So when someone is ready to upgrade their presentation or add a booth to their business, they’re not waiting around for production. The gear is already built and ready to ship, and most orders go out by the next business day. Another thing we focused on was solving a problem a lot of DJs deal with at events: weight. Our booths are built from a lightweight material that’s easy to move and pack – but it’s actually stronger than most materials used in competing products. We also include rugged transport cases with every product. No guessing, no measuring, no hunting around online trying to find something that fits your gear. We take care of that part for you. We even have the console line that allows the controller to stay in place during transport, letting the dj set up and tear down even quicker with fewer bags and cases to worry about.  And if you’ve ever used one of our booths or tables, you’ve probably noticed our quick latch system. We were the first to bring that design to market, and it made setup and teardown so easy that it eventually became something a lot of the industry adopted. At the end of the day, everything we build is designed for working DJs and event operators, because that’s exactly who we are. If you’re thinking about upgrading your look or adding a booth to your business, feel free to reach out. Chances are, we already have what you need ready to ship. #### How much does it cost to start a photo booth business? Modern digital photo booths have been around for decades. Up until recently you only had one option — a DSLR booth. The introduction of iPad based photo booths changed the industry forever. I’m going to outline some pro’s and con’s each system which, I hope, will allow you to make a better, more informed decision on which direction to go in. There are exceptions to every situation, so my comparison below is intended to be a generality — this is not in any way an exhaustive list. I will be going into more detail on each system in future blog articles. iPad Photo Booths    Pro’s: Ease of setupBetter for animated GIFs, boomerangs and effects/propsCan be used in stationary, roaming and/or hybrid boothsLess initial startup costPerfect for drop-off events    Con’s: Printing requires an extra wifi device and/or serverSoftware is typically more expensive and subscription basedCannot use external flash or studio strobeFront facing iPad camera is only 7 megapixels                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Ian Manheimer of Vancouver, Washington based VIP Photo Booths explains, “I prefer iPad booths because it offers my customers a unique and fun user experience. Everything from digital props, boomerangs, gifs, filters, green screen, animated overlays and much more. Guests can text and email their experiences instantly as well as post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat” DSLR Photo Booths    Pro’s: Capable of the highest quality photosUses a flash or studio strobeTrue ‘Plug & Play’ printingSoftware tends to be one time fee and more affordable Con’s: More electronics and “moving parts”Requires a more advanced level of photography knowledgeHigher initial costCannot be used in most roaming or hybrid photo booths    Chris Fall of RocTheBooth located in Upstate New York notes, “I prefer DSLR photo booths because I feel if you’re trying to offer the highest quality to your clients, DSLR still tops image quality and print options over iPad based systems” Okay, so now what, how do I make my decision? You need to decide what your priorities are when building your company and your brand. Think about the following questions  Are you looking for the best picture quality? How important is ease of setup?Do you plan on doing digital-only events or will you print at every event? Is initial cost a factor? Instead of choosing one over the other, get both if budget allows. This way you can offer your clients the widest range of options. Variety can also set yourself one notch higher than your competition. Danny Max Max Photo Booth Design #### What is a roaming photo booth? It’s important with your photo booth business to stay current with all the newest trends and types of activations. A roaming photo booth is a fairly new concept that has gained much popularity over the past few years.  Let’s break down this blog article into three parts: 1) What is a roaming photo booth? 2) What does a roaming event look like? 3) What to look for when purchasing a roaming photo booth (roamer)? Part 1 – What is a roaming photo booth? A roaming photo booth is exactly what it sounds like.  A handheld photo booth device that an attendant holds and “roams” around the event with.  Roamers, 9 times out of 10, utilize iPads.  iPads are fantastic for roaming or mobile use, as they excel at digital-only events. They’re great for GIFs, boomerangs, video and still images. iPad photo booth software, such as Snappic, TouchPix, Breeze and Curator are experience based and are typically more guest interactive than PC software. Photo booth attendant interacting with guests Part 2 – What does a roaming event look like? Roaming photo booths are fantastic for events where guest interaction is key. There’s no one specific type of event that a roaming photo booth is well suited for.  To name a few, weddings, sweet 16’s, mitzvahs, corporate events and holiday parties can all benefit from this type of booth. A photo booth attendant walks around the event with the roaming photo booth in hand, approaching guests, rather than guests having to approach the traditional stationary booth. Each session takes less than a minute from start to finish. At the end of the session, guests are prompted to enter an email address or phone number to instantly receive a digital copy of the image or GIF. Roaming events are typically digital-only delivery but it is certainly possible to print from an iPad based photo booth, including roamers — I’ll be going into more detail on that in a future blog article. One of my favorite opportunities for using a roamer is during cocktail hour.  This is a time when a photo booth is typically idle, waiting in the main reception room, for the event to start up.  But, with a roamer, you’re able to “add-on” cocktail hour for your photo booth service and easily upsell your client $250-350 for an extra hour that would normally be wasted. A hybrid photo booth, such as the CurveMax Duo, is the perfect photo booth for a dual event like this — roaming for cocktail and then stationary for reception. Dual use – same booth – one single setup. Part 3 – What to look for when purchasing a roaming photo booth? With roamers becoming more and more popular, so has the amount of different roamers on the market. There’s quite a few features that one should look for when purchasing a roaming photo booth. Lets outline a few below: Weight – One of the most important factors. You or your attendant will be holding this photo booth for many hours. Every single ounce of reduced weight equates to less fatigue and extended run-time.Availability of Different Sizes – Select a roamer that fits your current ipad or have the freedom to purchase the best ipad for your business plan or budget. Reprogrammable LED Lights – One of the best things that you can do when selecting a device, is choosing one that you can easily fine tune the lights. You can theme your lighting to the event, adjust the brightness, and create an overall better experience for your customer. The MobileMax roamer has it’s own proprietary free app, which allows you to instantly adjust the patterns, colors and brightness via Bluetooth in just seconds.Bluetooth Integration – The newest trend in roamers is having the photo booth software control the roamer, such that when a guest pushes “start picture” the lights in the device will automatically turn white, when the session is over, it’ll dim the lights, etc. Hybrid Booth Use – Is the roamer that you’re looking at purchasing compatible with a stand, so it can be used as a hybrid booth? This type of setup gives you two booths in one and allows you to better serve your customer’s needs.                                                                    Since this Blog article was written in 2020, and we’re in the middle of a pandemic, it’s worth noting that roaming photo booths are the best solution to maintaining social distance and reducing the chance of the virus spreading at an event.  Guests are not lined up in a queue, waiting to use a photo booth, but rather the attendant can go around the room, visiting each guest at their own table — especially if local mandates limit movement at the event. When considering which roaming photo booth is best for your business, take the time to compare all the features and select a booth that fits your brand and business plan. I think you’ll find that the MobileMax packs in the most features and value for your money, but you might also find that another brand fits the bill better for your budget. Buying a roaming photo booth is no simple task — research, research, research! Danny Max Max Photo Booth Design ### Pages #### Blog Home Search Search ...
